At Bayside Dog Lounge, we take pride in looking after the needs of busy families and their loving companions.
Our CAGE-FREE, home style Dog Lounge and professional caregivers, offer you complete “peace of mind” that your family pet is being loved and taken care of as if they were part of our family.
Daily Activities
It is vital that your furry friends daily routines include activities for both mental and physical stimulation as well as sufficient down time for rest and sleep. Taking care of the later is especially important for young puppies and elderly dogs. To achieve this balance, your pooches day is broken into physical activities such as ‘free play’ with and without toys, as well as agility training, off site farm adventures and mental stimulation, including scent work and brain toys. For those dogs who lack the necessary skills, we also include basic obedience training.
How Does My Furry Friend Join?
All dogs are assessed for their temperament before they can join our Dog Lounge. This is to ensure your pooch is going to enjoy their experience. The assessment only takes a short time, during which we evaluate how they interact with our experienced day-carers. Our team are introduced one at a time and at a pace your dog is comfortable with. If your dog is accepted, there is some simple paperwork to complete and we need to see his or her vaccination card. Please ring to book an assessment the first time you are joining us.

POLICY ON CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19 VIRUS) RISK MANAGEMENT
The health and safety of our dogs and their owners is always our top priority here at Bayside Dog Lounge. As you know, coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to affect people around the world and the situation is changing very quickly.
We are carefully following these developments and implementing all applicable advice from health authorities to ensure our Dog Lounge can safely remain open, without compromising the health of our staff, our dogs and/or their owners.
A spokesperson from the Federal Department of Agriculture has said COVID-19 had not been reported in any domestic animals or wildlife in Australia. The statement also said there was no evidence the virus could be transmitted from a domestic animal to a person, or between domestic animals, however we are still taking the necessary precautions to limit any potential for transmission.
All dog owners are now being asked to not leave their dog with us if they fall into either of the below categories:
1. If you have recently returned from overseas or have been in contact with someone with the virus. A self-exclusion period of at least 14 days applies.
2. If you have a cough, cold, sneeze, sore throat, chest infection or other flu like symptoms.
